About Me

As a prac­tic­ing pro­fes­sional musi­cian with more than 30 years expe­ri­ence, my career has encom­passed the roles of a com­poser, arranger, con­duc­tor, instru­men­tal­ist, per­former, and edu­ca­tor. I work with a vari­ety of styles includ­ing clas­si­cal and mod­ern Jazz, Folk Music, Sympho-Jazz, shuf­fling them and cre­at­ing "musi­cal hybrids". After grad­u­a­tion I con­tin­u­ously improved my musi­cal knowl­edge and skills, gain­ing deep under­stand­ing of music the­ory and harmony.

Orches­tral expe­ri­ence as a pianist in Dnipro Jazz Orches­tra, Phi­lar­mo­nia Orches­tra, etc. was a won­der­ful oppor­tu­nity to feel and com­pre­hend “inside out” arrange­ment rules and meth­ods from the per­spec­tive of a per­former. Such valu­able prac­ti­cal knowl­edge con­sti­tutes a solid base, allow­ing me to cre­ate com­po­si­tions, arrange­ments and instru­men­ta­tions for var­i­ous ensem­bles, from solo play­ers to full orchestras.

Besides, I am an accom­plished instru­men­tal­ist and instruc­tor. I have been work­ing for 20 years as a musi­cal direc­tor, con­duc­tor and com­poser / arranger of the Juve­nile Sympho-Jazz Orches­tra. Its reper­toire con­sists of both clas­sic jazz com­po­si­tions and works writ­ten per­son­ally by me, con­tain­ing ele­ments of dif­fer­ent musi­cal direc­tions from the mod­ern treat­ment of Ukrain­ian folk music to jazz compositions.
